Over time, I have earned the title of “The Florist who cares”, a title I am incredibly proud of, as it means my flowers have brought a touch of happiness to my clients’ lives.
If you’re interested in how I got this title, here’s a snippet of my story…
A farmer’s daughter, I was born and bred in North Yorkshire, and was always fascinated by nature.
After landing a summer job delivering flowers for my local florist (near Thirsk), it was there my love for flowers developed. I jumped into Floristry training at Bishop Burton College, and was lucky to secure more work experience in flower shops all around North Yorkshire and even Suffolk.
Knowing a life spent amongst flowers was my key to personal happiness, it was after a friend asked me to do her wedding flowers that I took the plunge, and, in my early 20s, started my business, where I get to spend every day creating floral arrangements and making people smile.
Roll on the years, and I am now married to Andrew, whom together, we have our gorgeous 12-year old son, Harry.
Along with a life of flowers, horses and an appreciation for the odd glass of wine, I really do have a very fulfilling life, much of which is centred on making you, my client, very happy.
